Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in the Microsoft Word, RTF, OpenDocument, or WordPerfect file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Press.

If you are interested in publishing in our editorial, you must take into account the Rules for the presentation of originals and consult the Call for research and dissemination publications.

Editing process of the Reseach Collection

1. Reception of the originals.

           1.1 The application must be completed and submitted to the Registry according to the instructions of the Call for research and dissemination publications

           1.2 Publications URV receives the application and verifies the successful submission of all required items.

           1.3 The Editorial Committee verifies the following:

                 a) Compliance with the Rules for the presentation of originals

                 b) Adequacy of the content to the standards and objectives of the collection 

                 c) Adequacy of the text to the highest standards of linguistic quality       

            1.4 Proposal of external reviewers made by the Editorial Committee.

  1. Anonymous double-blind evaluation of the originals by specialists in the field, preferably external to the editing body, to assess their publication according to an evaluation model that includes the following criteria:
    a) Currentness and relevance of the addressed topic.
    b) Content correctness.
    c) Rationalization and development of the object of analysis.
    d) Writing style.

 3. Reception of publication reports.

           3.1. In case both are positive, the originals are submitted to the authors so that they can make the appropriate corrections and incorporate the suggestions.

           3.2. In case both are negative, the publication proposal is rejected.
           3.3. In the event of a tie, a third report is requested from a different evaluator.

  1. The final decision on the originals to be published will be made by the Editorial Committee.
  2. Proofreading, edition and layout of the book.
  3. Publication on the website.
